Auto base paint

Computerized automotive paint matching and mixing by code using Challenger (Axalta), Germany.

The result may not be perfectly accurate due to many factors, the main one being that the computer can provide up to 30 alternative formulas for the same color code, each differing slightly in shade.

It is used for full or partial car painting according to the “basecoat + clearcoat” system.

It has good hiding power and excellent adhesion.
Supplied ready-to-use, together with a fast thinner (Challenger Cl705).

Apply in 2–3 coats with intermediate drying for 10–15 minutes at 20°C on pre-prepared primed surfaces or sanded old paintwork.

After complete drying (20–30 minutes at 20°C), a protective matte or glossy clearcoat must be applied over the basecoat.

It is not recommended to use ready-mixed color-matched paint for painting car parts “edge-to-edge”; only with blending!
