Flexible polyester putty for plastic

Colour: dark grey

Gloss grade: matt

Polyester putty with high flexibility dedicated to car body plastic panels repairs, in particular exposed for vibrations. Shows very adhesion to most types of plastic. Putty has properties of filling and finishing product.

Advantages

• Very smooth surface after sanding.

Substrates
The product has very good adhesion all outer car body parts made of plastic (PP, EPDM, ABS, PC, PPO, PA, RTPU, PBTP, PVC, PUR, PUR soft foam, UP-GF).

The Surface should be wiped with non woven fabric, degreased with water and detergent ( do not use benzine based removers as they can melt plastic surfaces) then it should be washed again with water and detergent, rinsed and dried with air.

Caution: Do not apply the putty directly on the wash primers, 1K acrylic and nitrocellulose products.

Use
Flexible polyester putty for plastic car body repairs.

Mixing ratio by weight
Putty: 100
Hardener: 2

Stir thoroughly until achieving homogenous paste to not create air inclusions.

Layer thickness
Putty can be applied in several thin coats. After each of them the product should dry through. Do not exceed the thickness of 3 mm.

Pot life is 3 ÷ 5 minutes at 20°C

Hardening time
25 ÷ 35 minutes at 20°C.

Temperature below 20°C significantly increases the hardening time.

Sanding
Coarse sanding (dry): P80 ÷ P120,
Finishing sanding (dry): P120 ÷ P320.

Further work
Polyester putties can be over coated with:

• 2K polyester spray fillers.
• 2K acryl fillers.
• 2K epoxy fillers.

General notes

• Excessive amounts of hardener will cause problems with bleaching of the top coat!
• The rooms should be well ventilated.
• Tools should be washed directly after application.
• Use personal protection equipment during the 2K products application. Protect eyes and respiratory system.
