BRUNOX Epoxy Rust Treatment

BRUNOX EPOXY is an epoxy-based anti-corrosion product (rust converter and epoxy primer in one product). When applied, it reacts and forms a black, durable coating. This coating provides long-term corrosion protection for metal, and thanks to the epoxy components contained in Brunox, it also serves as a primer layer.

The product is applied to a mechanically cleaned and degreased metal surface in 2–3 coats.

After 1 hour (± depending on the thickness of the applied layer, temperature and air humidity), the next coat can be applied. After 8 hours it can be overcoated.

The drying process can be accelerated with heating lamps, but not earlier than 1 hour (at 20°C) after applying the Brunox layer. After drying, Brunox Epoxy is overcoated with automotive paints. If necessary, a filler primer can be applied on Brunox Epoxy, then puttied and painted. It is not recommended to apply body filler directly onto Brunox Epoxy without prior treatment due to poor adhesion.
